Meet the team: Barry Underwood MCSP BSc Hons
Barry has a BSc in Sports Science (1999) and graduated with honours in Physiotherapy in 2004 from the University of Hertfordshire. Pre-graduation, Barry worked predominantly in the paediatric setting, both with complex physical and learning disabilities, and with young elite footballers, notably at Charlton Athletic FC. He continued to work with footballers at a higher level with Arsenal FC. Alongside his work in the private sector, Barry also continues to work within the NHS, as Physiotherapy Team Lead, for a progressive, evidence-based organisation. His NHS work has covered a vast spectrum of clinical experiences including musculoskeletal conditions, inpatient rehabilitation, orthopaedics, neurology and respiratory. Barry has a special interest in orthopaedics, complex case management and long term rehabilitation after injury or illness.
