Spine specialists

Whilst all of the Physiotherapists are able to treat spinal conditions such as low back and neck pain, PhysiOptima is fortunate to have Steve Wilson who is a specialist in this area. Steve has undertaken extensive postgraduate training and is a member of the Manipulation Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP). Steve is therefore able to use his skills of manipulation as an adjunct to his physiotherapeutic skills; this often realises results where other practitioners may not have been successful.

Where conditions are more intermittent or recurrent, Steve is also able to advise on a more "preventative approach" by prescribing exercises and giving recommendations on posture and ergonomics.

PhysiOptima has a close working relationship with a number of Rheumatologists, Orthopaedic Consultants, and Sports Medicine Doctors and can quickly facilitate an appropriate onward referral to these colleagues where required.
