Why warm up
-Warming up before exercise is very important to prepare our bodies properly for any kind of exercise routine. It enables the body to cope more easily with the activity.
-Warming up reduces the risk of injury that could possibly happen if overstretching occurred.
-A warm up session also reduces the risk of early fatigue which might happen if the cardiovascular system is unprepared for strenuous activity.
How to warm up
-The warm up session should be done before any exercises.
-A typical warm up session would take about 5 to 15 minutes.
-It normally should consist of low impact aerobic activity e.g. gentle brisk walking, cycling or jogging but can also be sport specific movements that are done
